![]() ![]() These adapters introduced higher-resolution text modes with fully programmable character sets. The same font was used on the Hercules Graphics Card and a host of other clones. The same ROM includes the scanline MDA font: characters are stored as 8 pixels wide, but displayed with an additional 9th column either blank or a duplicate of the 8th, depending on the character. I've included column and half-width column versions for both of these. The alternate 'thin' one is selectable in hardware only. The narrow '2y' version is what you get in x modes.
